Custom Cue Extension Manufacturing: OEM Options and Process

A custom cue extension project starts with connector compatibility, not logo design. Two extensions may look identical but fail to fit the intended cue because the thread, pilot, diameter, shoulder, insertion depth or alignment differs. Wholesale buyers should provide a physical reference, measured drawing or confirmed joint specification before requesting production.

Define the intended cue system

State the cue brand or system used only as a compatibility reference. Provide the joint name when known, but do not rely on the name alone. A drawing should identify the critical dimensions and tolerances. Where fit is commercially important, testing a sample with the actual cue is safer than approving from photographs.

Technical information required

Specification Information to provide Approval method
Connection Thread or joint reference, dimensions and physical sample if available Fit test with intended cue
Length Overall and usable extension length Measure approved sample
Diameter Body and connection-area dimensions Drawing and inspection
Weight Target weight or acceptable range Actual sample weighing
Material Construction and finish reference Appearance and handling review
Packaging Individual protection, label and carton requirements Packing sample

Material and finish decisions

Material affects weight, feel, durability, surface finish and cost. Buyers may request metal, carbon-fiber-style, wood or combined constructions, subject to technical review. The RFQ should describe the result required instead of naming a material without a target. For example, state the desired weight range, finish, scratch resistance and visual position in the product line.

Logo and private-label controls

A buyer-owned logo can be reviewed for laser marking, printing or another suitable application method depending on the surface. Provide vector artwork, size, position and color reference. Trademarked third-party cue names should be used only to explain compatibility and must not be reproduced on the product or packaging without authorization.

Sample approval process

  1. Confirm the product specification and connector reference.
  2. Review the artwork and packaging brief.
  3. Produce the sample, normally within 7-15 days.
  4. Test physical fit, alignment, dimensions, weight, finish and packaging.
  5. Record approved details before bulk production.

Sample fees depend on the project. If a credit will be applied after a bulk order is confirmed, record the amount and condition in the quotation or pro forma invoice.

MOQ, production and payment

The standard customized MOQ is 500 pcs. Normal bulk production is 30-35 days after the sample, artwork, packaging and payment requirements are approved. The standard deposit is 50% of the order total. Payment can be discussed by PayPal, bank transfer or T/T and should be confirmed in the commercial documents.

Inspection and shipping

Pre-shipment checks should cover quantity, visible workmanship, dimensions, connection reference, finish, logo and packing against the approved specification. Fojve can discuss FedEx air shipment or delivery to a buyer-appointed freight forwarder. The standard trade basis is DAP, while alternatives can be discussed for a specific project.

Prepare the RFQ

Include the cue system, connector drawing or sample, length, diameter, weight target, material, finish, quantity, logo, packaging and destination. Review current examples in the wholesale cue extension category, then submit the project through the inquiry form, email wujj1039@gmail.com, or WhatsApp +852 4666 1741.
